Post-Production for Film: Dresden
For this project, I was given a silent film for which I did the complete audio post-production. Dialogue editing and Spotting were done first by synching the sound to the picture and adding in ghost clips which will eventually be filled with audio. Then I worked on ADR and recording Foley which will replace the previous dialogue and spotting areas. For Foley, I recorded clothing, footsteps, and more to make the scene feel real. After that, the sound effects and backgrounds were added. SFX of gunshots and much more were included. For the background ambiance, several sounds were layered to give an overall room tone that plays through the entire film. Lastly, the mixing and re-recording was done. For the mixing portion, I made sure all sounds seamlessly flowed and nothing overshadowed any other elements. For the re-recording portion I recorded the dialogue lines and replaced the old ones and edited them to taste.
